Great photos for the challenge, they define a couple of ‘ups’ perfectly. The quotes are so fun. lol Thanks for sharing them.
Hi EC – The photo challenge looks like a good way of using photos that I haven’t yet written stories about!
Hi Margie,
Great photo’s, and I love the Woody Allen quote, that is so true.
Thanks Mags – You can’t beat a good Woody Allen quote!
Perfect! You upped the ante on this one, you clever girl!
Hi CE – very clever how you ‘upped’ the ante with your comment!
This post is so brilliant! Woodey Allen is great. I watched the “Midnight in Paris” last month, absolutely enjoyed it!
Thanks Amy – it is pretty easy to write a post when there are so many wonderful quotes to use.
Up, up and your away!
Hi timethief – ‘Up’ is certainly a versatile word!
Hi Margie! Great results. I love to see what different ideas people come up with when the same concept is presented to them.
Hi Lorna – This was my first try at Weekly Photo Challenge – I’m looking forward to it.
Yeah Vegas!! Have you ever been in a balloon? That’s one of those things that sounds so cool, but not sure I’d have the cajones to get in one! Great quotes… the Churchill quote is fantastic!
Hi BRC – I’ve never been in a balloon, but would like to when I get a chance to!
We should have the Fifth Dimension playing in the background on this one. Love your photos and the Churchill quote.
According to Merriam Webster online, my go-to source, there is NO rule that you can’t end a sentence in a preposition. Still goes against the grain with me.
Hi pegoleg – It is simply wonderful what can be found on the internet. Apparently Churchill’s quote came about because he had been criticized for ending a sentence in a preposition. He responded, “That is the kind of thing up with which I will not put.” He was making fun of the non existent rule.
Good for “launch” too ! Glad I saw it. Lovely colors.
