Macro Monday – Spots
Humor is a social lubricant that helps us get over some of the bad spots.
- Steve Allen
On the whole, spots are not looked upon kindly. Blind spots, the wrong spot, skin spots, eye floaters, water spots, age spots, trouble spots – the list goes on and on.
There are lots of pleasant spots, though, and the ones in this photo are a good example. Where would you find these spots?

Last Weeks Macro Monday – Re: Peel – a close up look at an orange. The ‘eye’ would be the navel, I suppose, except it isn’t a navel orange.

Yey!!
PS these are enjoyable challenges,
A butterfly wing maybe, parasol maybe…..
Two excellent guesses, but neither are right, I’m afraid.
It looks like some kind of lily petal, but that would be too easy…
You have a very good eye, and as you know, what seems most obvious to one person is the least obvious to another!
I have artists eyes. And they change color. Which is ironic, in a way.
I’m going for a flower.
Will you still think it is a flower when you come back?!
I would have to say a flower, too. What fun, Margie!
Good guess!
Yes, some kind of flower. I’m not a gardener, so don’t ask me to venture a guess on what kind of flower, though.
A flower is a popular guess.
I think it is a plant as well. ?
Another plant vote noted.
They’re either rust spots on lettuce, or else you managed to get ahold of that polka-dot bowtie I just gave to the Salvation Army… : )
That must have been one handsome bow tie!
Thanks for letting me camp out in your blog today. I had a great time and tried to leave my campsite as clean as when I arrived.
