Macro Monday: Sleepless
This is a close up and personal look at what? (Hint – Neil Young described it in one of his songs.)

Last Week’s Macro Photo, Is it Grey or Gray - a piece of a nest of the Yellow Jacket wasp. Nests are built of wood fibres masticated into coarse paper.

I see a rusty pipe ~ although I fear that may be too obvious and that I am WAY off!
I guess rust is pretty obvious, all right!
Is it a cracklin’ rosie? HF
Right colour, wrong Neil.
Is it a horse with no name? HF
No, but the object would have been nicer looking if I’d kept it ‘out of the rain.’
Is it “Here comes the Rain?” HF
Hey, Hey, My, My (Into the Black) – ‘It’s better to burn out
’cause rust never sleeps’
A Neil Young fan – Margie, you hippie! I’m listening to Roundabout by Yes on my computer as I type this.
It was pretty cool when my teenage kids would tell me about a ‘new’ song they had just heard, and it was a remake of our music from the ’60′s and ’70′s. We’d haul out our old LP’s and go ‘way back’ as they would say!
A nail? (As in a rusty nail)
Think bigger.
Hmmm. I crow bar–it’s some rusty metal object, right?
It’s better to burn out than to rust. Rust Never Sleeps.
You know your music!
A rusty something for sure, but I don’t have a clue what.
Your Macro-mysteries are so fun.
I can hardly wait to read what it is.
Very observant. Stay tuned!
Harvest Moon. Well it could be a rusty wedge of Harvest Moon.
I really like the creativity and romanticism of your guess. It will make me look at the Harvest Moon with a more appreciative eye!
I was thinking Cinnamon Girl – I want to live with the cinnamon girl – maybe a cinnamon stick?
No, but that is an excellent idea for a photo!
Doesn’t quite look like “heart of gold” to me – I await the reveal!
You are very patient!
Neil Young– of course!– Hey, Hey, We’re The Monkeys!!
Um… a lock of Davy Jones’ hair? : P
Gee, another good idea for a macro photo!
