There are two acceptable spellings for the word that describes the neutral colour between black and white, and the feeling of gloom and dullness. This word is spelled Gray in the United States and other areas that use USA English. Grey is used in Great Britain and areas that use UK English. Canadians generally use the British spelling, not the American spelling, though there are a number of instances where Canadians have chosen to use American words and spellings.
