How to Make a Simple Nutella Dessert

There are many Nutella Desserts, but none is simpler than this!

Ingredients: 1 jar Nutella hazelnut spread

Equipment: 2 extraction tools – a spoon and a rubber spatula

Directions:

1. Open the lid of the jar.

2. Use your spoon (size optional) to scoop out the Nutella.

3. Put the spoonful of product directly into your mouth. Enjoy! Repeat until your conscience tells you to quit, or you don’t feel so good any more.

4. Switch to the rubber spatula when the jar is nearly empty.

Nutrition: Nutella has NO artificial colors or preservatives and is a source of Fiber, Calcium and Iron. It does, however contain oodles of sugar and saturated fat.

Conclusion: I really like Nutella, but because foods like this are going to migrate directly to my hips, I agree with the following observation:

Nuts just take up space where chocolate ought to be.

  1. Is Nutella of the consistency of peanut butter? If so, use caution when eating from a spoon: it can become “clogged” in your throat with nothing to adhere to! Hate to be a wet blanket…..

    • Good observation! Nutella is very smooth and creamy, and melts in your mouth much quicker than peanut butter does. But you are right – several small spoon fulls are safer than one great big one!

  2. Get two small (or whatever size your want) flour tortillas. Spread loads of nutella on one and a layer of thin peanut butter on the other. ENJOY.

  3. I love Nutella, especially with peanut butter, and used to always have it in stock. However, one of my grandchildren has a severe allergic reaction to anything with tree nuts in it, so Nutella is banned from the house. 😦

  5. I was worried that I’d unfollowed you, but I do recall seeing this in my reader yesterday.

    I remember trying Nutella exactly once, many, many, many years ago, and not liking it — probably because I was expecting peanut butter. It seems to have enjoyed a hipster resurgence and I’ve been meaning to try again. I think I can handle this recipe!

      People seem to fall into two distinct camps when it comes to Nutella – they either really like it, or really dislike it!

  6. I buy Nutella in the Costco heart-attack size. Fortunately my son uses your recipe or else I’d already be gone. I hear there are no calories in the chocolate in heaven. Happy Easter.

    • Happy Easter to you too! Nutella certainly comes in many jar sizes – no one can complain that the jars are either too big or too small.

      I would be happy if there were no calories in chocolate heaven – no caffeine would be good too.

  7. On toast. My kids eat it on toast. I use the spoon-directly-into-the-jar method of devouring it. Very yummy no matter how you do it. 🙂
